Click as fast as you can within the time limit!
CPS (Clicks Per Second) is your click count divided by the time in seconds. For example, 80 clicks in 10 seconds is 8.0 CPS. This site's grade bands aren't from an official published study — they're our own scale, calibrated against the general sense of speed reported across click-speed test sites.
On normal clicking (Classic), 4-6 CPS is typical, 8+ is fast, and 10+ is very fast. Above 12 CPS is this site's top grade (SS). Techniques like jitter, butterfly and drag clicking produce much higher numbers, so a score from one of those is not comparable with this scale.
These numbers aren't from an official study — they're this site's own scale, calibrated against the general sense of speed reported across click-test communities.
| Grade | CPS threshold |
|---|---|
| SS | 12+ |
| S | 10+ |
| A | 8+ |
| B | 6+ |
| C | 4+ |
| D | 2 – 4 |
| F | Under 2 |
A very short test like 1-3 seconds only captures a quick burst of speed, so it tends to score higher than a sustained test of 10 seconds or more — your fingers fatigue the longer you click, which naturally pulls the average down. That's why this page tracks records separately per duration.
Alternating your index and middle finger ("butterfly clicking") or vibrating your forearm ("jitter clicking") are widely known community techniques. Both put real strain on the wrist and forearm, though, so it's worth not drilling them too hard.
